So far in my role as a graduate I’ve been able to work at a few sites and meet so many cool people that make up our large team in New Zealand.

8.00 AM

I arrive at work and head down to the warehouse where I’ll be working for the next couple weeks. I’m currently in my second week of my Tech and Fast-Moving Consumer Goods rotation at our warehouses in East Tamaki so I’m just starting to learn our core operations.  So far in my role as a graduate I’ve been able to work at a few sites and meet so many cool people that make up our large team in New Zealand.

8.15 AM

I set up at my desk and reply to my emails and check my calendar for any meetings I may have on today.

8.45 AM

Today we have a couple containers that have already arrived and have been emptied by some of the team.  Time to check the quality and quantity of the orders that have arrived and ensure they match what we have in our system before they can be put away into the warehouse.

10.00 AM

Smoko time.  I head down to the lunchroom to grab a quick snack and a coffee.

10.30 AM

I head back into the warehouse and make my way down to the outbound team where I spend a bit of time picking orders and familiarising myself with the outbound processes.

11.00 AM

Daily team meeting – Here the team discusses safety concerns, productivity, the distribution of work among the team members and any other issues or queries the team has.

Lunchtime

1.30 PM

Time for an online meeting. In this meeting the team discuss an exciting new project in the works.

2.30PM

Make my way back to the outbound team to continue working on the outbound processes for the afternoon, ensuring orders have been picked correctly and prepared for collection.

4.30 PM

Finish up for the day and head home!
