Being responsible for a worksite has allowed me to gain confidence in dealing with challenging situations and given me insight into the roading sector.
This role provides lots of opportunities for collaboration, growth and learning. No two days are the same. There's always something more to learn and I think that goes for people that have been doing this role for years and years.
I have learned the basics of rail and all its different components. How rail, road and ferries all tie in together to support our economy and how much of an environmental impact rail provides on helping the NZ government to meet its carbon emissions goals.
