The types of tasks I enjoy the most are when I’m collaborating with clients to achieve great outcomes, the best feeling is getting a resource consent granted with minimal further requests of information from council.

At the start of my placement on the project, the tasks I was assigned were fairly minor and I was given a lot of guidance by my senior colleagues. Over time, as my skills and knowledge have improved, I've been able to contribute to more important projects with more complexity. I have also become more independent to work on projects now by myself.

I love coding and statistics. Thus, being able to do work that combines those two is what I love most about my job.

I thought about being a pilot, or an air traffic controller, but it was the ever-changing nature and challenges of the engineering profession that drew me in.

It’s fun to be working in the environment and sustainability field, especially in the transport sector, as this is an industry where we can make a real difference in regards to New Zealand’s carbon emissions.

As a structures engineer at Airbus I am a part of the in-service engineering team for the ARH Tiger an Australian Army Helicopter.

One of the best things about working for such a large, international business is that it is honestly all in your hands as to where you end up.
