The most interesting aspect has been the numerous sites I’ve had the opportunity to be involved in. It’s an eye opener to see the challenges that arise delivering a project on site compared to what’s been written on paper.
I greatly enjoy the physical nature of my role. After spending a significant amount of time working almost entirely from behind a desk, I started to miss the exercise and even the feeling of making physical progress that comes with working on-site.
Mitch Jones studied a Bachelor of Science (Environmental Science), majoring in Environmental Management at Western Sydney University – Hawkesbury Campus in 2016, and is now an Environmental Graduate at John Holland.
Hearing from other interns has made me realise the breadth of opportunities available, as my experiences have been completely different to that of my peers — giving me an indication of the experiences available within this graduate program.
